3 Luck Of Smiling (A Calder)-Rider reported that his mount over raced during the early and middle stages, when placed under pressure failed to run on. The rider further stated that the firmer track condition is not in its favour. On veterinary examination was found to be severely lame left foreleg. A post race swab was ordered by the Stewards.
4 Gurus Dream (O Doleuze)-Over raced during the early stages.
7 Multivictory (D Whyte)-Rider reported that his mount which perform market expectations would prefer more give in the ground and did not stretch out as he would have expected.
10 King Creole (W Smith)-Jumped away awkwardly and as a result lost some ground.

INQUIRY:
Rider of Gurus Dream (O Doleuze) was fined HKD1000 under MJC Rules for Racing 14(xvii)(a) for making a celebratory gesture before the winning post.
