Race Report

RACE-2 THE DOMINION RATING 50-30 (CLASS 4&5) 1500 METRES (271)
Mr. K S Wong and Mr. K M Chin, the respective trainers of 4 Gold And Silver (A Calder) & 6 Explosive Blast (Apprentice Y M Choi) advised that due to those runners drawing wide barriers today, they would be instructing their riders to settle further back than normal and try to obtain a position closer to the rail.
4 Gold And Silver settled midfield and 6 Explosive Blast which was slightly slow to begin settled at the rear of the field.

1 Rush'N Prince (K H Yu) –Over raced during the early stages.
3 Aberdeen (L Salles) –Was marginally slow to begin.
4 Gold And Silver (A Calder) –Approaching the 600 metres had to be steadied and lost ground when racing tight between runners; Inside the 100 metres had difficulty in obtain clear running.
6 Explosive Blast (Apprentice Y M Choi) –Slightly slow to begin; Near the 300 metres raced up onto the heels of 12 Mission Fame and was steadied.
7 Golden Fifty Six (C F Chan) –Poor performance; Rider stated that his mount would be better suited to tracks with more give. A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
11 Wind Chaser (W L Ho) –Raced three wide without cover.
12 Mission Fame (H Lam) –From the 300 metres had difficulty in obtaining a clear run and was then held up from the 100 metres when unable to obtain a clear run and went to the line not fully tested.

VETERINARY:
7 Golden Fifty Six (C F Chan) –A post race veterinary examination of 7 Golden Fifty Six which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
12 Mission Fame (H Lam) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
