Race Report

RACE-5 THE DUNDEE RATING 80-60 (CLASS 2&3) 1200 METRES (280)

1 Wonderful Four (A Calder) –Near the 200 metres became unbalanced when bumped by 4 Vigormaster which was attempting to shift out.
2 Chinese Scholar (Apprentice K Y Wong) –Raced wide without cover.
3 Gauteng (K W Leong) –Rider could not offer any tangible excuses for its performance today.
4 Vigormaster (C Perkins) –Raced keenly during the early stages; Was held up rounding the home turn when unable to improve; Failed to obtain clear running for the length of the straight when pocketed by 1 Wonderful Four and as result when to the line not fully tested.
5 Golden Champ (L Salles) –Approaching the 400 metres was help up when unable to improve its position; Near the 700 metres had to be restrained off the heels of 6 Sharon Star.
6 Sharon Star (Apprentice Y M Choi) –Approaching the 400 metres was help up when unable to improve its position.
12 Winner Best (C F Chan) –Was slightly slow to begin; Rider stated the gelding was off the bit throughout the event today and would be better suited on the sand track; Disappointing performance; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards. Trainer K S Wong was informed that he would be required to present 12 Winner Best to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 3rd May 2015.
