Race Report

RACE-5 THE OLHAO RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1100 METRES (364)

1 Power Alkhafif (M Cangas)- Shortly after the start had to be steadied to avoid the heels of 11 Gold Selection (C F Chan) which was shifted in.
2 My Favourites (W L Ho)- Was caught four wide without cover.
3 Scandicmaster (J Cordero)- Was vetted at the barrier at the request of the rider and pass fit to race; Poor performance. A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
4 Bo Bo So Great (W Smith)- For some distance approaching and passing the 400 metres was held up when unable to obtain a clear run.
5 Four Season Health (W T Pao)- Was marginally slow to begin.
11 Gold Selection (C F Chan)- Near the 50 metres shifted out and brushed 5 Four Season Health (W T Pao).

VETERINARY:
1 Power Alkhafif (M Cangas)- A post race veterinary examination of 1 Power Alkhafif which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
3 Scandicmaster (J Cordero)- A post race veterinary examination revealed that it was severely lame in the left foreleg. Trainer W T Lai was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it a veterinary certificate is produced and it must performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
7 Golden Kalbar (B Yamzon)- A post race veterinary examination of 7 Golden Kalbar which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
