Race Report

RACE-2 THE CHONGQING RATING 40-20 (CLASS 5) 1050 METRES (433)

1 Dengcheng One (L Corrales) –Extremely difficult to load delaying the start considerably; Trainer was informed that 1 Dengcheng One will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial; When the gates were released, shifted out abruptly and made heavy contact with 12 Macau Health; Raced wide without cover; Cast its right hind plate.
2 My Lovely Faye (W Smith) –Rider W Smith of the 6th placed getter was severely reprimanded and reminded of his obligations to ride all his mounts fully to the finish whenever possible; The Stewards is satisfied that his actions did not affected the result of race.
5 Rio Party (K H Yu) –Approaching the winning post had to be steadied to avoid the heels of 1 Dengcheng One which shifted out marginally; Rider reported his mount hung out throughout the race.
7 My Dream Come True (C F Chan) –Laid out in the straight; Rider reported his mount raced greenly.
8 The Valiant Prime (M Cangas) –When the gates were released struck the side of the barrier and lost some ground.
12 Macau Health (W L Ho) –Proved difficult to load; Trainer K M Chin was informed that 12 Macau Health will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a jump out prior to racing again; Became unbalanced at the start when bumped by 1 Dengcheng One; Poor performance; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards; Rider reported he had to avoid heels on a number of occasions.

VETERINARY:
12 Macau Health (W L Ho) –A post race veterinary examination of 12 Macau Health which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
