RACE-4 MAGIC MILLIONS "HOME OF CHAMPIONS” TROPHY (MAGIC MILLIONS TRAVEL PACKAGE OWNER & TRAINER) RATING 70+ (CLASS 1) 1200 METRES (44)
WORLD FORTUNE (K K LAI) jumped awkwardly with its head up and lost considerable ground.
KAAPTAN (K W LEONG) was slow to begin.
On jumping ABSOLUTELY WIN (K M CHIN) and NORTHERN CHAMPION (B YAMZON) bumped.
For some distance leaving the 700 metres ABSOLUTELY WIN (K M CHIN) hung in resulting in EL MORRO (L JURADO) which was racing to its inside racing in restricted room. Again rounding the home turn ABSOLUTELY WIN hung in.
NORTHERN CHAMPION (B YAMZON) raced wide for the majority of the race.
A post race veterinary examination of EL MORRO (L JURADO) failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
A post race veterinary examination of KAAPTAN (K W LEONG) by the request of its jockey, revealed that the gelding was slightly lame in the left foreleg. Trainer J Lau was informed that KAAPTAN will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary certificate is produced.
