Race Report

RACE-6 THE BELLEWSTOWN RATING 80-60 (CLASS 2&3) 1500 METRES (33)

1 Let Me Run (W L Ho) -Near the 400 metres became held up momentarily; Inside the 300 metres was disappointed and forced to ease when attempting to improve outside the heels of 8 Sunshine Full Life.
4 My Dark Chocolate (K W Leong) -On jumping was inclined to rear and was then slow into stride.
6 Golden Harbour (K K Lai) -Approaching the 600 metres was inclined to lay in and became awkward on heels for several strides.

INQUIRY:
Jockey K K Lai the rider of 6 Golden Harbour stated that he had expected to ride his mount in a similar manner to its recent start when successful and to settle just behind the pace. He explained that 6 Golden Harbour had not begun as well as in it previous starts and as a result settled further back than he had intended. Inside the 800 metres he was able to improve with cover. He added that after travelling well 6 Golden Harbour had not finished its race off as strongly as in recent start. Trainer Pat Lee was informed to present the horse to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 6th October 2013.

4 My Dark Chocolate (K W Leong) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
