RACE-2 THE FORFAR RATING 40-20 (CLASS 5) 1500 MEWas RES (181)

At 2:30pm Mr. W T Lai the trainer of Ratnaraj informed the Stewards that he would instruct Jockey A Calder to attempt to settle the horse midfield if possible as in recent starts when ridden on the pace Ratnaraj had not finished off its races in a strong manner.
3 Delight Consul (W L Ho) –Was slow into stride and was then taken across the back of the field to be positioned close to the inside rail.
11 Ratnaraj (A Calder) –Inclined to race keenly in the early stages; In the vicinity of the 300 metres had difficulty obtaining clear ground.

INQUIRY:
The Stewards questioned Jockey C Perkins regarding his riding of Kao’s Star approaching the finish. After reviewing the official vision, Jockey C Perkins was found guilty of a charge of negligence under MJC Rule 14 (xvii)(a) in that he had failed to ride his mount to the finish and was fined the sum of HK$4,000.

VETERINARY:

6 Windsor Arch Two (R Curatolo) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
