Race Report

RACE-2 [STAR RIVER．WINDSOR ARCH] CHARITY TROPHY RATING 55-0 (CLASS 4,5&6) 1200 METRES (221)

4 Regan (C F Chan) –On jumping was severely hampered and checked losing its position when tightened for room.
5 Happy Bobo (A Calder) –Making the turn inside the 700 metres commenced to race keenly becoming unbalanced when awkwardly placed between heels and was forced to steady when tightened for room.
6 Pak Lok Angel (W L Ho) –On jumping away was severely inconvenienced and became unbalanced for several strides.
7 So True So Fake (R Silvera) –Jumped awkwardly.
10 Sunshinecapability (W T Pao) –On jumping was hampered losing its position when tightened for room.
11 How Wonderful (Apprentice C F Wong) –On jumping was severely hampered and unbalanced for several strides when contacted.
12 Sunshineprosperous (K K Lai) –Jumped awkwardly and shifted out abruptly.

INQUIRY:
Jockey R Curatolo the rider of 3 Windsor Arch Four was questioned regarding his riding approaching the finish. The Stewards were satisfied that Jockey R Curatolo had not ridden his mount to the finish as required by the rules. He was reprimanded and advised to in future ride his mounts through to the line.

The Stewards inquired into an incident inside the 700 metres in which 5 Happy Bobo (A Calder) was forced to steady. It was established that after being ridden along at the 800 metres 5 Happy Bobo had commenced to race keenly, becoming awkwardly placed outside the heels of 6 Pak Lok Angel (W L Ho) and inside the heels of 3 Windsor Arch Four (R Curatolo) and was then obliged to steady as 6 Pak Lok Angel rolled out. Although not held totally responsible for the incident Jockey W L HO was advised in future against shifting ground when not sufficiently clear.

The Stewards inquired into the circumstances of general interference shortly after the start resulting in 4 Regan (C F Chan) being checked losing its position. After considering the evidence and reviewing the official vision the Stewards took no action as they were satisfied that Jockey K K Lai the rider of 12 Sunshineprosperous had made an attempt to correct his mount when it commenced to shift.

Jockey B Yamzon the rider of 2 Gold And Silver explained that his mount which was having its 2nd start lacked race experience and at various stages raced greenly.

Jockey W L Ho the rider of 6 Pak Lok Angel explained that at various stages his mount that is lightly raced, raced greenly. He added that in in his opinion 6 Pak Lok Angel may be better suited to races over longer distances.

VETERINARY:
4 Regan (C F Chan) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
