Race Report

RACE-1 THE OSASCO RATING 40-0 (CLASS 5&6) 1950 METRES (363)

2 Good Energy (L Corrales) –Was slow to jump.
5 Shadow Master (K H Yu) –Near the 300 metres was forced to steady off heels.
7 Cargo Money (C F Chan) –Was slow to jump; After entering the straight was inconvenienced momentarily when brushed.
8 Happy Tops (C Perkins) –Which was reshod behind the barriers was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and ruled fit to race. At the entrance to the straight became held up behind runners; After entering the straight was inconvenienced when attempting a neat run.

INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into the circumstances 5 Shadow Master (K H Yu) was obliged to steady off heels near the 300 metres. It was established that when attempting to improve 1 King Pegasus (Apprentice C F Wong) had shifted out taking 5 Shadow Master out marginally at the same time as 2 Good Energy (L Corrales) when improving past 5 Shadow Master had rolled in marginally. After reviewing the official vision and considering the evidence, Apprentice C F Wong was issued with a reprimand and he was advised to take greater care when shifting ground in future.

VETERINARY:
3 Happy School Boy (Apprentice Y M Choi) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Taiki Shuttle (W L Ho) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Cargo Money (C F Chan) –A post race veterinary examination revealed that the horse was lame in the right foreleg. Trainer K C Hoi was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary examination is produce.
