RACE-4 4YO Prelude (GROUP 3) RATING 4YO 1500 METRES (198)

5 Golden Idol (C F Chan) –Raced wide without cover until near the 600 metres when it obtained a position closer to the rails.
7 Korean Dream (C Perkins) –Over raced during the early and middle stages.
9 Win Perfectly (W T Pao) –Dipped near the 1200 metres.

INQUIRY:
Jockey C F Chan the rider of 5 Golden Idol pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of MJC Rule 132 (i) in that approaching the 600 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of 3 The Whirlwind (J Horcajada) which was tightened in onto 6 Northern Legend (L Salles) which lost its rightful running and had to be checked. 4 Lucky Winston (R Curatolo) which was following was also hampered in this incident. Jockey C F Chan’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of two racemeetings being the 6th and 7th March 2015. In arriving at the penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey C F Chan’s guilty plea, his relatively good record and that he had made an attempt to relieve the pressure. He was advised of his Right of Appeal at 5:20pm.

9 Win Perfectly (W T Pao) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
