RACE-2 SINGAPORE TURF CLUB GOODWILL CUP RATING 70-40 (CLASS 3) 1950 METRES (234)

2 Happy Fish (M Cangas)-Raced keenly through the early and middle stages.
3 Riches Treasure (L Salles)-For some distance approaching the 400 metres was held up when unable to improve its position.
4 Happy And Healthy (W T Pao)-Was slow to begin (2L).
5 Luen Yat Sure Win (J Horcajada)-Raced wide without cover.
8 So Sweet (A Calder)-Approaching the 400 metres was taken out off its course by 3 Riches Treasure which shifted out to improve.
9 Fortune Target (R Curatolo)-Approaching and passing the 400 metres was held up when unable to obtain a clear run.

INQUIRY:
Jockey L Salles rider of 3 Riches Treasure pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that approaching the 300 metres he shifted out to obtain clear running when there was insufficient room thereby tightening 10 Tron General (C Perkins) onto 8 So Sweet (A Calder). As a result 10 Tron General lost its rightful running and had to be checked. Jockey L Salles was suspended from riding in races for a period of 4 racemeetings covering the meetings of 3rd, 10th, 17th and18th of April 2015. In determining penalty the Stewards took consideration Jockey L Salles’ guilty plea, the circumstances of the incident and severity of interference which was deemed to be in the high range. He was advised of his Right of Appeal at 5:40pm.

VETERINARY:
10 Tron General (C Perkins)-A post race veterinary failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
