Race Report

RACE-2 THE DALMARY RATING 50-30 (CLASS 4&5) 1500 METRES (367)

1 Diamond King Kong (M Cangas) –On arrival at the barriers underwent a veterinary examination at the request of its rider and was found to be lame in the left foreleg; The Stewards acting on veterinary advice order its withdrawal at 20:36; Trainer Pat Lee was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary clearance is produced.
2 Good Racing (B Yamzon) –Raced wide without cover.
3 Turquoise Heart (W L Ho) –Was marginally slow to begin.
4 Modena Creation (C Perkins) –At the start threw its head in the air, became unbalanced and lost ground; Raced very ungenerously rounding the turn into the back straight and then had a tendency to lay out for the remainder of the race.
5 Modena Success (L Salles) –Was slow to begin.
8 Hit The Bull (D Chong) –Failed to maintain contact with the field throughout and performed poorly; Rider stated that despite his urgings throughout and when placed under pressure from the 1000 metres failed to respond to his riding; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
10 The Valiant Prime (H Lam) –Was unruly and refused to be ridden to the start; After being placed in the barriers fractious; Was removed from its barrier and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who declared it fit to race; Trainer Pat Lee was informed that 10 The Valiant Prime will be required to perform in an official barrier trial and must be ridden to the start prior to racing again.
Hung out rounding the first turn and raced wide until obtaining cover passing the 1000 metres.

VETERINARY:
8 Hit The Bull (D Chong) – A post race veterinary examination of 8 Hit The Bull which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
