Race Report

RACE-3 THE BRASILIA RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1200 METRES (392)

1 Chinese Scholar (H Lam) –Disappointing; Rider reported that his mount disliked the going; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
2 Valiant Soldier (W L Ho) –Became unbalanced shortly after the start when brushed by 7 River Good Boy; From passing the 600 metres through to the 400 metres was unable to improve its position.
3 Charming Beijing (C F Wong) –Near the 250 metres was inconvenienced by 7 River Good Boy which shifted in whilst being ridden along; The Rider of 7 River Good Boy (R Curatolo) was reminded that he is required to be fully clear when shifting ground at all times.
4 Hanigan (L Salles) – The rider when questioned as to why he shifted off the fence in the early stages despite drawing barrier 1, explained that he believed the gelding shied and shifted out shortly after the start and it laid out somewhat which presented a run to its inside for 1 Chinese Scholar.
6 Sunshine Stormy (D Chong) –Was slow to begin.
7 River Good Boy (R Curatolo) –Shortly after the start was taken out by 3 Charming Beijing which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider and then had to be checked when tightened for room between that gelding and 2 Valiant Soldier.

VETERINARY:
1 Chinese Scholar (H Lam) –A post race veterinary examination of 1 Chinese Scholar which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
