Race Report

RACE-4 THE TORONTO RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1500 METRES (411)

1 Never See Through (R Curatolo) –Laid out rounding the home turn and in the straight; Rider informed that he was to stop riding and straighten his mount under similar circumstances in future.
2 Power Speedy (C F Chan) –Acting on veterinary advise that it was lame in the right foreleg, the Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 9:24pm; Trainer K S Ho was informed that the horse will not be permitted for 11 days and until a veterinary certificate is produce.
4 Charity Group (L Corrales) –Jumped very awkwardly, shifted out and lost ground; Disappointing performance; Rider reported that his mount did not feel comfortable racing on tonight’s surface.
5 Flaming Star (C Perkins) –Rider was unable to offer any real excuses for the poor performance tonight; A post race veterinary was ordered by the Stewards.
8 Gauteng (Apprentice K Y Wong) –Got its head up when the gates were released and lost ground; Raced three wide without cover
9 Vigorous Momentum (W L Ho) –Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground (2L); Trainer K S Cheong was informed that a warning had been placed on 9 Vigorous Momentum and should it perform in a similar manner in future further action may be taken.

VETERINARY:
4 Charity Group (L Corrales) –A post race veterinary examination of 4 Charity Group which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 Flaming Star (C Perkins) –A post race veterinary examination of 5 Flaming Star which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
