Race Report

RACE-6 THE GUARULHOS RATING 80-60 (CLASS 2&3) 1200 METRES (368)

1 Swift Falcon (A Calder) –Inside the 1000 metres was inconvenienced when taken out.
2 Gruenfeld (B Yamzon) –Approaching the 800 metres was obliged to steady to avoid heels; Inside the 100 metres was forced to steady away from heels.
4 Great Tiger (W L Ho) –Reared as the gates opened.
5 Happy Proposal (L Corrales) –Inside the 1000 metres was forced to steady when tightened for room.
6 Tony Itoldyouso (K H Yu) –Race wide for the majority of the race.
8 Lobor Treasure (R Curatolo) –On jumping away was inclined to rear and shortly after the start knuckled.

INQUIRY:

The Stewards inquired into the circumstances 5 Happy Proposal (L Corrales) was tightened for room inside the 1000 metres. It was established that inside the 1000 metres 5 Happy Proposal was tightened for room between 4 Great Tiger (W L Ho) which rolled in marginally and 1 Swift Falcon (A Calder) which was taken out by 3 Sunshine Tacker (C Perkins). After considering the evidence and reviewing the official vision the Stewards took no action other than to advise Jockeys C Perkins and W L Ho to take greater care when shifting ground in future.

The Stewards inquired into the circumstances 2 Gruenfeld (B Yamzon) steadied approaching the 800 metres. It was established that in being corrected from an earlier incident 4 Great Tiger (W L Ho) had rolled out onto 2 Gruenfeld, at the same time as 6 Tony Itoldyouso (K H Yu) had shifted in. After considering the evidence and reviewing the official vision, the Stewards issued Jockey K H Yu with a reprimand and advised him that in future to only shift ground when sufficiently clear.
