Race Report

RACE-6 THE CURRAGH RATING 80-60 (CLASS 2&3) 1200 METRES (176)
Prior to Race 1, Trainer G Allendorf advised the Stewards that he would be instructing Jockey L Salles to ride 6 Inventive to obtain a position midfield with cover. Ridden accordingly.

3 Chinese Scholar (L Corrales) –Disappointing performance; Rider could offer no genuine reason for the performance;A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
4 Power Alkhafif (B Yamzon) –For some distance passing the 400 metres was held up and unable to improve its position.
6 Inventive (L Salles) –Was marginally slow to begin; Approaching the 200 metres was momentarily held up when disappointing for clear running.
8 Great Tiger (J Horcajada) –Approaching the 600 metres had to be steadied off heels; Was held up rounding the home turn.
9 Winner Best (A Calder) –Hung out throughout the race. Trainers V Chong and K S Wong were informed to present the horse to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 31st January 2015.
11 Bo Bo So Great (K W Leong) –Raced wide without cover.

VETERINARY:
3 Chinese Scholar (L Corrales) – A post race veterinary examination of 3 Chinese Scholar which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
