Race Report

RACE-2 CHAIRMAN'S CHALLENGE CUP (GROUP 1) OPEN 1200 METRES (264)
1 Luck San (A Calder)-Was marginally slow to begin. For some distance rounding the home turn and the early part of the straight was held up before obtaining a narrow run to the inside of 8 Top Vegetable.
4 Sunshine Tacker (K C Leung)-Jumped away awkwardly, unbalancing its rider and as a result lost ground.
6 My Lucky Baby (C F Wong)-Raced three wide without cover.
8 Top Vegetable (R Curatolo)-Near the 500 metres became unbalanced when awkwardly placed close to the heels of 7 Sacred Hustler for number of strides. Rider of this gelding which was disappointing stated that he was unable to lead as instructed and his mount failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure. The Stewards ordered that 8 Top Vegetable undergo a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 19th April 2015.
9 My Pony (H Lam)-At the winning post had to be steadied when close to the heels of 12 Special Kid.
11 Wonderful Four (D Whyte)-Jumped away awkwardly. Raced keenly during the early and middle stages.

VETERINARY:
8 Top Vegetable (R Curatolo)-A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
