Race Report

RACE-6 THE BRANTOME RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1500 METRES (377)
As Jockey C Perkins was unable to make the weight in this event, the Stewards gave permission for Jockey R Stewart to be substituted as the rider of 9 Golden Harbour. Jockey C Perkins was issued with a severely reprimand. In arriving at this decision, the Stewards took into account that this was his first offence of this nature.

1 Magician Code (L Salles) –Near the 300 metres was held up.
2 Total Management (W L Ho) –Was held up for a considerable distance rounding the home turn; Approaching the 200 metres when weakening had to be steadied when disappointed for a run between 3 Hand By Hand and 7 Jylland which shifted in; Rider could offer no real excuses for the disappointing performance; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
3 Hand By Hand (C F Wong) – Poor performance; Rider stated that his mount was over racing, raced keenly throughout and the failed to respond to his riding in the straight.
5 Four Season Health (W T Pao) –Over raced in the early and middle stages.
6 Will Go On (W Smith) –Was slightly slow to begin and then dipped shortly after the start.

VETERINARY:
2 Total Management (W L Ho) –A post race veterinary examination of 2 Total Management which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
3 Hand By Hand (C F Wong) –A post race veterinary examination of 3 Hand By Hand which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality
