Race Report

RACE-2 THE SHANNON 3&4-YEAR-OLD RATING 50-0 (CLASS 4,5&6) 1100 METRES (102)
BILLINGSGATE (M NUNES) jumped awkwardly.
NO OTHER BUT ME (K W LEONG) jumped awkwardly with its head up.
CHINA CHEERS (W L HO) jumped awkwardly, shifted in and hampered WONDERFUL STEED (T PEREIRA).
Near the 700 metres WONDERFUL STEED (T PEREIRA) was checked when tightened for room by HAPPY TOPS (L JURADO) which despite the efforts of its rider, hung in and away from CHINA CHEERS (W L HO). Under the circumstances, no action was taken.
Approaching the 500 metres HAPPY TOPS (L JURADO) which was continuing to hang in was steadied when racing in restricted room to the inside of CHINA CHEERS (W L HO) and awkwardly placed close to the heels of FANTASY GEM (L CORRALES). Trainer M C TAM was informed that a warning had been placed on HAPPY TOPS in relation to its racing manners.
CHINA CHEERS (W L HO) raced wide for the majority of the race.
