Race Report

RACE-1 THE NANTALLAH RATING 30-0 (CLASS 5&6) 1200 METRES (293)

5 Sunshineprosperous (C F Chan) – Trainer Y Y Choy was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
6 Allen's Victory (K H Yu) –In the vicinity of the 800 metres faltered and was eased out of the race; Fractured its left fore fetlock and was subsequently euthanesed.

INQUIRY:
The Stewards sought an explanation from Trainer K C Wong into the apparent improved performance of 1 Keep It Rolling (B Yamzon) in this race. The Stewards noted that 1 Keep It Rolling had not raced for four weeks and was racing in Class 6 for the first time. Mr. Wong explained that that 1 Keep It Rolling had been a nervous horse and difficult to train in that it took time to recover from its races. He stated that following its previous run on the 14th of March, 1 Keep It Rolling had lost condition and he was forced to give it a break from racing until he was satisfied with its condition. He confirmed he had done nothing different with its preparation and would likely continue to space its future races whenever the program permits.

VETERINARY:
5 Sunshineprosperous (C F Chan) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Dragon Flying (W L Ho) –A post race veterinary examination revealed that the horse was severely lame right foreleg. Trainer S Chow was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial and a veterinary clearance is produced.
