Race Report

RACE-8 PONTE 16 RESORT RACE (TURF) RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1200 METRES (350)
2 Sunshine Blaze (L Corrales)-Shortly after the start was inconvenienced as its hindquarter turned out where contacted.
3 Charming Beijing (R Curatolo)-Jumped awkwardly.
7 Florence Elite (W L Ho)-Was examined behind the barrier at the Jockey’s request and was passed fit to start. On jumping lost it’s positioned when tightened for room.
11 See See Leading (R Silvera)-Knuckled on jumping. Approaching the 1600 metres commenced to lay out and became awkward for several strides on the heels of 5 Lithium Alloy.
12 Smart Halo (J Moreira)-Jumped awkwardly. Shortly after the start was inconvenienced when making contact with 2 Sunshine Blaze. Making the turn into the straight was inclined to lay out and then for some distance raced greenly under pressure.

INQUIRY:
C F Wong the rider of 6 Strong Alloy explained that he had been instructed to lead if possible but despite pressuring his mount it was obliged to race 3 wide throughout the event. He said leaving the 700 metres his mount was inclined to lay out and continued to lay out making the turn into the straight. He added that when balanced in the straight his mount had not responded to his riding and in the concluding stages his mount has run out the line in its own accord.

VETERINARY:
3 Charming Beijing (R Curatolo)- A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Strong Alloy (Apprentice C F Wong)- A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K C Chong was informed that he would be required to present the horse for a full veterinary examination on Sunday, 1st June 2014.
12 Smart Halo (J Moreira)- A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
