RACE-5 THE HERMOSILLO RATING 50-30 (CLASS 4&5) 1500 METRES (53)

1 Will Go On (J Horcajada) –Over raced in the middle stages.
2 Mission Fame (Apprentice C F Wong) –Over raced in the middle stages.
4 It's A Round World (W L Ho) –Was slow into stride; Raced wide throughout; Near the 550 metres was bumped by 1 Will Go On.
5 Laughing World (Apprentice Y M Choi) –Jumped awkwardly.
6 Diamond Whirlwind (L Corrales) –Over raced in the middle stages.
9 Hit The Bull (Apprentice K Y Wong) –Hung out leaving the 500 metres and made the home turn very wide.
10 Really Powerful (B Yamzon) –Over raced in the middle stages and raced wide throughout.
12 Dance Day (M Cangas) –Over raced in the middle stages.

INQUIRY:
When questioned Jockey W L Ho the rider of 4 It's A Round World stated that the horse was a little slow to begin and as such he attempt to obtain a position with cover in the early stages. He stated that racing down the back straight when the tempo of the race slowed 4 It's A Round World began to over race and was obliged to shift wider on the track to avoid heels. He added thereafter 4 It's A Round World was caught racing extremely wide and continued to race fiercely and when placed under pressure in the home straight 4 It's A Round World failed to respond to his riding and did not finish the race off as he had expected.

Jockey B Yamzon the rider of 10 Really Powerful (B Yamzon) explained that due to the pace of the race slowing down the back straight, his mount began to race fiercely so he elected to let 10 Really Powerful stride forward and travel where it was comfortable.

VETERINARY:
4 It's A Round World (W L Ho) – A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 So True So Fake (Suraj Narredu) – A post race veterinary examination reveal the horse was suffering from cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer J Lau was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed in a barrier trial and a veterinary clearance is produced.
