Race Report

RACE-4 THE NOGARA RATING SPECIAL (SPECIAL) 1100 METRES (351)

3 Happy Orchard (W T Pao) – Rider was reprimanded for dropping his whip at the 350 metres.
6 Notevenow (L Corrales) –Rider could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
10 Rush'N Prince (D Chong) –For some distance approaching and passing the 400 metres was held up when unable to obtain clear running.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Jockey H Lam the rider of 2 Beautiful Alloy pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of MJC Rule 132 (i) in that near the 800 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of 10 Rush'N Prince (D Chong) resulting in that runner losing its rightful running and having to be checked. 7 Yu Long Bao Ma (A Calder) which was following was steadied in consequence. Jockey had his licence to ride in races suspended for a period of 2 racemeetings, being the 3rd and 4th July 2015. When arriving at penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey Lam’s guilty plea, his record and the severity of the interference. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

VETERINARY:
6 Notevenow (L Corrales) –A post race veterinary examination of 6 Notevenow which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
