Race Report

RACE-6 THE FORLI RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1500 METRES (353)
2 Never See Through (D Chong) –Pulled hard during the early and middle stages; After passing the 1000 metres shifted out when close to the heels of 11 River Good Boy and raced three wide without cover from that point.
4 Haayil Shadow (K W Leong) –On jumping away had to be checked when tightened between 6 and 5 both of which shifted ground.
6 Correio (W Smith) –Raced wide without cover; Over raced during the middle stages; Poor performance; Rider reported that his mount failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
8 Best Co Tack (Apprentice Y M Choi) –Approaching the 300 metres steadied when tightened for room by 9 Magician Code which shifted in momentarily; Jockey A Calder the rider of 9 Magician Code was advised to ensure he is clear of other runners before shifting ground in future.
9 Magician Code (A Calder) –Was marginally slow to begin; Raced keenly through the early stages and steadied off heels near the 1000 metres.

VETERINARY:
6 Correio (W Smith) –A post race veterinary examination of 6 Correio which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
