Race Report

RACE-2 THE COIMBATORE RATING 40-20 (CLASS 5) 1500 METRES (415)

2 Jylland (L Corrales) –Poor performance; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards; Rider explained that the gelding worked extremely well in the lead up tonight’s race, however was never on the bit at any stage. He felt it held its breath during the race but felt fine in its action and handled the heavy track condition. Trainer K H Leong stated that gelding may have breathing problems. He was informed that 2 Jylland will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial and veterinary clearance is produce including a satisfactory endoscopic examination report.
3 Super Buffet (K H Yu) –Poor performance; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
5 Golden Harbour (C Perkins) –Near the 400 metres was momentarily placed in restricted room to the inside of 2 Jylland.
6 My Eternal Flame (L Salles) –Was resaddled behind the barriers.
7 My Target (Apprentice K Y Wong) –Was spoken to and advised regarding allowing his horses to race excessively wide unnecessarily.
9 Smart Ebony (H Lam) –Was marginally slow to begin.
10 Vitality Pioneer (C F Wong) –Raced very wide without cover.

VETERINARY:
2 Jylland (L Corrales) –A post race veterinary examination of 2 Jylland which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
3 Super Buffet (K H Yu) – A post race veterinary examination of 3 Super Buffet which performed poorly revealed that it had suffered a bleeding attack.
5 Golden Harbour (C Perkins) –Was reported by the Veterinary Surgeon to have suffered a bleeding attack.
