Race Report

RACE-2 THE GENIUS GUY RATING 65-30 (CLASS 3&4) 1600 METRES (421)
Prior to the race Mr. Pat Lee informed the Stewards that 7 Diamond Admire (L Corrales) would lead if circumstances permit today. He added these were the same instructions as had been issued previously however the horse had not been able to lead in the races.
7 Diamond Admire (L Corrales) settled in a handy position.

2 Fantasticprivilege (K W Leong) –Raced keenly during the early stages; Rider K W Leong when questioned as to why he looked over both shoulders on a number of occasions in the back straight. He explained that he was aware that runners behind him may have been making ground and glanced over his shoulder to ascertain where those runners were. K W Leong further added that he was conscious of not causing interference to those runners when he elected to improve his position.
3 Best Co Tack (A Calder) –Rider could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance; A post race veterinary examination and swab was ordered by the Stewards.
4 Hand By Hand (L Salles) –Raced keenly in the early and middle stages; Laid in in the straight.
5 Shame On You (K H Yu)
6 Luen Yat Sure Win (Apprentice Y M Choi) –Raced wide without cover
7 Diamond Admire (L Corrales) –Jumped away awkwardly, shifted in and was then inconvenienced by 2 Fantasticprivilege which shifted out slightly.

VETERINARY:
3 Best Co Tack (A Calder) -A post race veterinary examination of 3 Best Co Tack which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
