RACE-5 【STAR RIVER ．WINDSOR ARCH】SAND CHAMPION SERIES Leg 3 - THE MACAU STAR OF THE SAND STAKES (GROUP 1) (OPEN) 1700 METRES (424)

3 Leisure Free (D Chong) –Broke down in the left front leg near the 1200 metres and was pulled up by its rider; Was subsequently euthanized.
4 Luen Yat Everwin (Apprentice Y M Choi) –Proved difficult to load, delaying to start the race. Trainer W T Lai was notified should it perform in a similar manner in the future further action may be taken.
7 Gold Alloy (H Lam) –Was slightly slow to begin; When questioned regarding the poor performance of the horse the rider explained that 7 Gold Alloy did not respond to his riding when placed under pressure; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
8 King Creole (L Corrales) –Was slightly slow to begin.
9 Advance Mission (W L Ho) –Was marginally slow to begin; When questioned regarding the poor performance of the horse the rider explained that 9 Advance Mission resented kickback from the sand; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.

VETERINARY:
7 Gold Alloy (H Lam) – A post race veterinary examination of 7 Gold Alloy which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 Advance Mission (W L Ho) – A post race veterinary examination of 9 Advance Mission which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
