RACE-6 THE CHEERINE CHAMPION RATING 75-50 (CLASS 3) 1350 METRES (425)

2 My Masterpiece (W L Ho) –When questioned regarding the poor performance of the horse the rider explained that the horse did not handle the going; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
3 Chairman'S Vote (K H Yu) –When questioned regarding the poor performance of the horse the rider explained that the horse did not handle the going; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
4 Chromium Alloy (H Lam) –Was slow to muster speed. When questioned the rider, he explained that Chromium Alloy had its first start and should be benefit from the current run.
6 Gauteng (C Perkins) –Near the 600 metres had to be steadied when awkwardly placed between the runners.
7 As I Wish (L Salles) –Was resaddled at the barrier delaying the start the race.
8 Hostwin Almighty (L Corrales) –The Trainer J M Moore was questioned about the apparent improvement of the horse. He explained that the horse jumped well and travelled far better throughout the race than its previous run when it was disappointing.
9 River Good Boy (A Calder) –Usually races in a forward position, however settled to the rear of the field. Rider A Calder explained that he had been instructed to go forward however his horse unable to take up the position despite his urgings and maybe better suit on the turf race. It was noted on video review that the bandage on the left hind leg of the gelding became unraveled shortly after the start. Trainer S H Cheong was notified that he must ensure that all bandages are properly secured on all his runners.
10 Winner Best (D Chong) –Jumped away awkwardly; Had a tendency to lay out rounding the first turn. Rounding the home turn had to be steadied when attempting a run where there was barely sufficient room between 1 Windsor Arch Five (C F Chan) and 4 Chromium Alloy (H Lam). When questioned regarding the poor performance of the horse the rider explained that the horse did not handle the going. A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.

VETERINARY:
2 My Masterpiece (W L Ho) – A post race veterinary examination of 2 My Masterpiece which performed poorly revealed that the horse was lame in the left foreleg; Trainer K S Ho was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary certificate is produced.
3 Chairman'S Vote (K H Yu) – A post race veterinary examination of 3 Chairman'S Vote which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
10 Winner Best (D Chong) – A post race veterinary examination of 10 Winner Best which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
