RACE-3 THE BRECHIN RATING 90-60 (CLASS 1&2) 1800 METRES (182)

At 2:50pm Mr. K C Wong the trainer of The Drunk Bird (R Silvera) advised the Stewards that in view of the apparent pace in the race, he would emphasize to Jockey R Silvera to attempt to find a position 2nd or 3rd just behind the speed if possible.

At 3:03pm Mr. K C Wong the trainer of Luenyat Blackberry (Apprentice Y M Choi) advised Stewards that in he would instruct Apprentice Y M Choi if possible to attempt to settle more forward than in recent starts.

5 Luenyat Blackberry (Apprentice Y M Choi) –Was obliged to race wide for the majority of the event.
6 Smiling Happy (J Matthews) –In the vicinity of the 300 metres brushed on a number of occasions with 8 Best Co Tack.
8 Best Co Tack (A Calder) –In the vicinity of the 300 metres brushed on a number of occasions with 6 Smiling Happy.

INQUIRY
Jockey W L Ho the rider of 1 Crown Indicator explained that from the 600 metres he had become concerns at its mount’s action and tried to keep it balance until entering the straight.

VETERINARY:
1 Crown Indicator (W L Ho) –A post race veterinary examination revealed that the horse was lame in the right front leg. Trainer K S Cheong was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary certificate is produced.
