Race Report

RACE-5 THE COURT MARTIAL (DIVISION – 1) RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1200 METRES (5)
CATHETER (H LAM) and TOP DRAGON (M NUNES) brushed on jumping away.
ELEGANCE CLASSIC (APPRENTICE C F WONG) and LURU (K M CHIN) also brushed on jumping away.
Shortly after the start SUPERB ALBERT (K H YU) shifted out and bumped GENERAL WIN (W L HO).
Near the 1100 metres ASTON (C F CHAN) had to be checked when tightened for room to the inside of ELEGANCE CLASSIC (APPRENTICE C F WONG) which shifted in and away from LURU (K M CHIN) which was taken in slightly by JET ENGING (R J PEREZ) which shifted in slightly after being taken in by BEST LUCK HORSE (APPRENTICE J PESCUISO).
Approaching the 400 metres EUROEXPRESS (C W CHOI) improved up onto the heels of DURHAM REFLECTION (K F CHOI) and had to be steadied. EUROEXPRESS then shifted out and raced wide for the remainder.
DURHAM REFLECTION (K F CHOI), CHINESE SWIFTHORSE (W T PAO) and ORIENTAL DUBAI (K W LEONG) raced wide throughout.
After the race the Veterinary Surgeon reported that LURU (K M CHIN) was lame in left foreleg. Before being entered to race again LURU will be required to pass a veterinary examination.
Subsequent to the race, swab samples were taken from GENERAL WIN (W L HO) and TOP DRAGON (M NUNES).
