Race Report

RACE-6 THE BAGUETTE RATING 90-70 (CLASS 1&2) 1200 METRES (6)
MONSTER (H LAM) and LET GO (K M CHIN) were both slow to begin.
FRENCH GENERAL (W T PAO) jumped away awkwardly and bumped the inside of the Barriers.
NITTAN'S DELIGHT (APPRENTICE B YAMZON) jumped away awkwardly, shifted in and bumped LITTLE MAGIC (C F CHAN).
Approaching the 700 metres NOTEVENOW (APPRENTICE C F WONG) had to be checked to avoid the heels of SUPREME BEST (M NUNES) which shifted in. Jockey M NUNES pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC RULE 132 (i) in that approaching the 700 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of NOTEVENOW resulting in that horse being checked. He was suspended from riding in races for the racemeeting of 3rd October 2010 and fined the sum of HK$30,000 in lieu of one additional racemeeting. He was advised of his Right of Appeal at 10:10pm.
MACAU WARRIOR (K H YU) raced wide from the 600 metres.
LET GO (K M CHIN) raced wide from the 400 metres.
Approaching the winning post APPRENTICE M CANGAS the rider of TOY'S POWER was pulling the whip and accidentally struck the whip of Jockey K H YU the rider of MACAU WARRIOR resulting in Jockey K H YU dropping his whip.
A post race veterinary examination of NITTAN'S DELIGHT (APPRENTICE B YAMZON) revealed that the horse was found to be lame to the left foreleg. Before being entered to race again, NITTAN'S DELIGHT will be required to pass a veterinary examination.
Following the running of this race Jockey C F CHAN who was indisposed was stood down from further riding engagement.
Subsequent to the race, swab samples were taken from SUPREME BEST (M NUNES) and MACAU WARRIOR (K H YU).
