Race Report

RACE-1 THE SCUNTHORPE RATING 30-0 (CLASS 5&6) 1050 METRES (288)
Prior to the event, Trainer J W Moore informed the Stewards that Cutey Bear (D Chong) would be ridden more positively tonight. 5 Cutey Bear Failed to muster sufficient speed and settled towards the rear of the field.

2 Macau Health (W L Ho) –Was difficult to load delaying the start of the race. Trainer K M Chin was informed that a warning had been placed against 2 Macau Health and should it perform in a similar manner in future further action maybe taken.
5 Cutey Bear (D Chong) –Performed below market expectations; Rider advised that the gelding had been restless in the barrier, was slightly slow to begin and was one paced throughout the event.
7 Wonder Dylan (H Lam) –Jumped away awkwardly unbalancing its rider.
8 Concentration (K H Yu) –Knuckled when the gates were released; Raced four wide without cover; Poor performance; Rider stated that after beginning awkwardly his mount travelled well throughout, however failed to respond when placed under pressure; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards. Rider was reminded to ride his mounts at least hands and heels to the winning post.
9 Hungpaoshaq (W Smith) –Jumped awkwardly; Laid out rounding the home turn

VETERINARY:
1 Galaxy Dragon (L Corrales) –The Veterinary Surgeon reported that the horse fell on returning to scales and sustained bruising to its off side shoulder and hip.
8 Concentration (K H Yu) –A post race veterinary examination of 8 Concentration which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
