Race Report

RACE-3 THE ROTHERHAM RATING 50-30 (CLASS 4&5) 1350 METRES (290)

1 Voguish (W Smith) –Raced wide without cover throughout.
2 Turquoise Lucky (W L Ho) –From the 500 metres until 400 metres was unable to improve its position; Rider reported that he accidentally dropped his whip near the concluding stages and was severely reprimanded; In arriving at this decision, the Stewards took into account his good record.
3 Iron Alloy (M Cangas) –Shortly after the start became unbalanced when tightened for room between 5 River Bobo and 11 Super Buffet which shifted in; Passing the 400 metres was held up when unable to improve its position.
6 Friends Galore (A Calder) –Was marginally slow to begin
7 Modena Creation (H Lam) –Stood flat footed when the gates were released and as a result lost considerable ground (6L); Disappointing performance; Rider reported that his mount threw its head at the start and he was struck in the face; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards and in addition, Trainer C Marshall was informed that will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has passed a barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards.

VETERINARY:
7 Modena Creation (H Lam) – A post race veterinary examination of 7 Modena Creation which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
