RACE-5 THE MANSFIELD RATING 95-70 (CLASS 1&2) 1500 METRES (292)

11 Vigor Partner (C Perkins) –Was slow to begin (1L).
12 Gauteng (H Lam) –Was marginally slow to begin and was then hampered when tightened for room between 4 Top Vegetable and 8 The Whirlwind as a result lost ground

INQUIRY:
When questioned Apprentice Y M Choi explained that he had been instructed to ride 5 Luen Yat Colorado where it was comfortable and he ended up further back than he anticipated. He added that the gelding ran on well in the straight.

VETERINARY:
10 Easy To Rich (W T Pao) –The Veterinary Surgeon reported that the gelding collapsed post race suffering circulatory shock. Trainer M C Tam was informed that the gelding is suspended from racing until such time that it competes to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official trial and further that it must undergo an heart auscultation prior to and subsequent to the trial. Trainer was also informed to present the horse to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 16th May 2015.
