RACE-4 THE MANFRED RATING 70+ (CLASS 1) 1800 METRES (104)
LUEN YAT FOREVER (L JURADO) and JAZZA BELL (B YAMZON) jumped awkwardly.
Jockey L CORRALES the rider of SMILING HAPPY was found guilty to charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i), the particulars being that near the 1500 metres he permitted SMILING HAPPY to shift in when insufficiently clear resulting in LUEN YAT FOREVER (L JURADO) being checked and JAZZA BELL (B YAMZON) being hampered. Jockey L CORRALES was fined the sum of HK$26,000 in lieu of 2 racedays suspensions. He was advised of his Right of Appeal at 4:28pm.
DR SWEET (M CANGAS) over raced with its head up in the early and middle stages and then after the 700 metres hung in and bumped ELDERLY PARADISE (M NUNES) on a number of occasions, and when under pressure in the straight continued to hang in.
