3 Sunshine Mighty (O Doleuze)-On jumping away brushed.
4 Brave Panda (R Silvera)-Jumped awkwardly.
7 Hanigan (W T Pao)-On jumping away brushed.
11 So True So Fake (Y M Choi)-Shortly after the start commence to hang out making the turn into the back straight very wide and continued to hang out until the vicinity of 700 metres despite the efforts of the rider. Trainer J Lau was warned a repetition of its manners might result in 11 So True So Fake being required to trail.

INQUIRY:
Mr K Seo, Trainer of 7 Hanigan (W T Pao) was questioned regarding that horse to be presented with incorrect gear and requiring blinkers to be fitted at the start. Mr Seo was charged under MJC Rule 14(xvii)(a) with Negligence. He pleaded guilty and was fined the sum of HK$2000.

The Stewards inquired of Jockey R Silvera into the circumstance in which 4 Brave Panda from the 1000 metres until the vicinity of 600 metres continued to edge in making contact with 1 Good Master (J Moreira) and continuing to crowd that runner. Evidence was taken from Jockey J Moreira the rider of 1 Good Master who stated that 4 Brave Panda had continued to shift in on top of his mount for most of the back straight which had caused his mount to race more keenly than he preferred. He said passing the 800 metres he had attempted to restrain his mount in order to allow 4 Brave Panda to cross him. R Silvera stated that he had attempted to keep his mount on a straight course as in previous race had inclined to lay out. After considering the evidence the Stewards adjourned this inquiry to allow them to review the vision of the 4 Brave Panda’s previous starts.

VETERINARY:
5 Diamond King Kong (C Perkins)- A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
